hey erawk. thanks for the compliment. I took these pics very quickly at MardiGras World. MardiGras World is a warehouse where artists and craftspeople work on the Mardi Gras floats all year round. They also store old floats there. Many of the items in these pictures would not necessarily appear together in the same parade. I liked the random mish mash nature of the stuff in there.
The tour guide did not really want me to take the pictures so I kind of had to lag behind and "steal them" as we went along. The guide kept saying that we would have time after the tour but we were the last group of the day. As it turned out, there was no time to go back and take pictures so I'm glad I was a little bit aggressive about getting what I needed at the time. You sometimes have to be that way when you are a photographer. Later on, I did get full copyright permission to publish and sell these images from MardiGras World. The person I spoke to at MardiGras World was really sweet and friendly about it. She just said to let people know where they came from and send them on over if they are interested in seeing more!

Hooray!, I'm glad. It's especially cool that you have seen this place before yourself. Now you have a homemade souvenir from Oaktown, USA ;).
